Israeli Security Firm Comes To Bucks County To Teach Anti Terrorism Tactics To Local Law Enforcement
by Alex Lloyd Gross
Gideon Lapin is from Israel. Unfortunately, he has a lot of experience and first hand knowledge of terrorism and hatred towards himself and his countryman simply because of his religion. Lapin founded Total Security , a company that trains and teaches how to protect and prevent attacks to people. That training came to the Oliver Heckman Elementary School in Langhorne. The training was for law enforcement and it is only one of four such trainings going on in the commonwealth.

According to Senator Frank Farry (r) this training costs $300,000 and the county will train 120 officers . SWAT officers and School Resource Officers are a priority in getting this training. Bucks County Sheriff Fred Harran was at the site to speak with the media about the training. “No one knows more about security training than the Israeli’s”.
According to Lapin, a child is taught to fight when they are very young. When they are 18 they go into the Army. “Guns are not toys, they are serious business and we teach that at an early age,” he said . Israel gets attacked by terrorists frequently. On October 7, 2023, the cowardly Hamas parachuted from planes to shoot innocent concert goers. Still, to this day, not all of those taken hostage are back home.

Inside the school gunfire was heard, as officers rushed in, they breached classrooms and took out armed assailants . The gunfire came from different classrooms. Instructors were telling the officers how to enter the room, how to clear it and where to stand and where not to stand.
Currently 20 officers are getting trained, with more to come, Harran said. Harran is in a disagreement with Bucks County Commissioners Bob Harvie and Diana Marseglia over placement of a sheriff as a School Resource Officer. Harvie claims there are too many outstanding warrants out . Many of those warrants are for petty crimes ( like small retail thefts or acts of vandalism) and many defendants are out of town, with no extradition to PA.

Gideon said he can teach this training and tailor it to teachers, security officers and others. The Heckman school is decommissioned and sits in Langhorne. It is going to be demolished so holding the training inside that building was practical. The training gleaned by the officers can be used for malls, houses or worship and many others places.
