Senior Citizen Shot Near Stadium Complex On Mothers Day

Philadelphia Police were called to the 3600 block of South Broad Street at 5:43 AM today, for a e[port of a male shot. Upon arrival, they discovered that a 77 year old male had been shot one time in his face.
He was bleeding profusely police said. They transported him directly to Jefferson Methodist Hospital and then subsequently transferred by medics to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
No arrests have been made. Police spent the better part of the morning looking for security camera footage. Police did not give a motive for the shooting.
