Car Thief Busted After Struggle With Bensalem Cops

A suspected car thief is in trouble with the law and being held in the Bucks County Prison after getting arrested yesterday on Station Avenue. This happened yesterday about 6:30 PM when officers got a call about a suspicious black male wearing a black hoodie carrying a screwdriver. He just entered a vehicle that had a broken rear window, that was parked at an apartment complex on Station Ave.

When police arrived, they found part of the steering column had been tampered with . The male was in the drivers seat and he was putting on a pair of black gloves. When officers asked him questions, he became evasive and police said he refused to show his hands.

The suspect, later identified as 20 year old Briann Williams-Larose, 20, Norfolk Street, Philadelphia, then allegedly tried to flee from officers. Officers contacted the vehicle owner and determined that the vehicle was stolen from the rear of B&B Bagel, 1542 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, just an hour earlier at 5:30 PM.

Police obtained video of a subject matching the description of Briann Williams-Larose throwing a rock through the window of the car, entering the vehicle, and driving away. Briann Williams-Larose was charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, and Resisting Arrest. He was arraigned by District Justice Brian Marriott and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $25,000 bail.
