Who Stole Musical Instruments From Heart?
by Alex Lloyd Gross
On May 31,2025, Heart opened their current concert leg at the Hard Rock Casino in Atlantic City. The band arrived the day before and set up their equipment stage . Upon their arrival, they found that a guitar purple sparkle baritone Telecaster guitar, specially made for Nancy Wison was missing. As was a vintage 1968 Gibson EM-50 mandolin, which belonged to band member Paul Moak.

Band members are devastated. They want it returned with no questioned asked. Meanwhile security at the casino and the Atlantic City Police are combing through tons of security footage, hoping they can find something, showing who removed the instruments and in which direction they traveled.

Pawn shops and guitar stores have been notified. The gear is now essentially worthless. It is the same as stealing a Rembrandt worth $100 Million dollars. It cannot be sold and you cannot exhibit it. The thief that took these instruments cannot play them live on stage and cannot boast about having them. Therefore, they have no value except to Heart, who want them returned.
