by Alex Lloyd Gross

At 2:38 AM a woman arrived at Nazareth Hospital by a private vehicle. She has been shot in her face during an attempted robbery a short time prior, on the 6500 block of Horrocks Street. The woman was stabilized but due to the mechanism of injury, it was necessary to airlift her to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for additional treatment, police said.

No arrests have been made. Detectives were out looking for video from homes and businesses that may have recorded something. The suspect is described as a male wearing dark clothing and armed with a handgun. No race was given.
