Crash Disrupts Traffic Signals At Busy Northeast Intersection

by Alex Lloyd Gross

Traffic signal maintenance will be replacing a traffic light at the intersection of Rhawn and Lexington Streets, after a car plowed into the signal just prior to noon today. There were no injuries.

Some of the traffic signals are out , while others display all colors . Motorists are urged to use caution in that area. Authorities said that a woman was driving east on Rhawn when she claimed to have been cut off by a vehicle. That vehicle did not make any contact with her car, and did not stop.

When motorists approach this intersection, they should come to a complete stop, while the lights are not functioning. Rhawn Street is a heavily traveled road and is referred to as an arterial road by traffic engineers.
