Police Seek Males For West Philly Burglary Pattern Targeting ATM Machines

Philadelphia Police are looking for two males who are wanted for several burglaries in west Philly. The police also recovered a video which is included with this article. The stores they stole from are as follows:

Incident #1:
DC# 24-18-057806

On November 7, 2024, at approximately 8:36a, 18th District officers responded to a radio call for a report of burglary on the 5400 block of Pine St (Pine St Mini Market) that occurred at approximately 7:39a. Upon arrival officers were met by the complainant who states that he left his business secured at approximately 8p on November 6, 2024, with all doors secured and items in place. He returned to the location at approximately 7:30a to discover that the business had been broken into with the cash register, ATM machine and both of his video lottery machines all suffering major damages and emptied of the cash that was inside of them. The complainant surveyed the building and noticed that the unknown person entered the building through a rear wall causing damage to the wall.

Incident #2:
DC# 24-18-065979

On December 19, 2024, 18th district officers responded to a report of burglary at EZ Laundry located at 5800 Market St. The complainant reported that unknown persons broke into the laundromat, and took approx. $800 from the cash box, and an unknown amount of money from the ATM machine inside the Laundromat. It appears that the offenders entered the laundromat by prying the front gate back, and entering through the front door. It appears the burglary occurred around 1:43AM.

Incident #3:
DC# 25-19-007004

On Friday January 31, 2025, around 9:20 am, police responded to a call for a commercial burglary at ‘Low Price Superstore’ located at 5237 Market St. Owner of the store stated that someone broke into the store through the ceiling. Once inside the store intruder(s) cut off the power sources to the security doors, system, cameras, and fire alarm system. The ATM inside the store was cut vertically in the front and $5,000 was taken from inside and $2,000 from inside the cash register was taken. There was also $2,000 in merchandise (Food, over-the-counter medication, and apparel) taken from the store. Due to the offender pouring bleach on everything it was negative results while trying to obtain prints. Video from inside the store only shows one male from behind before the power was cut.

Incident #4:
DC# 25-18-014368

On March 23, 2025, at 4:48 AM police responded to a commercial burglary for Extra Space Storage at 5500 Sansom St. The manager stated he received a call from their security company at 4:40 am for a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, he noticed a large hole in the wall of the main office, that leads to the alleyway.  Wires had been cut or pulled out shutting off electricity for the camera, computers, and security systems. One of the cameras in the office had been ripped off the wall. Taken from the property was $100 from the cash drawer, a safe with an unknown amount of money, and numerous tools.

Incident #5:
DC# 25-18-014942

On March 26, 2025, at 9:21 AM, the complainant reported a commercial burglary that occurred at Jessie’s Place located at 412 S 54th Street. The complainant stated that he secured the location on March 25, 2025, at 12:00 AM when he left for the night. Upon returning on March 26, 2025, at 8:30 AM, he discovered that an unknown person or persons pried open the rear door to the location before entering the bar and immediately disabling the video security system. The offenders then proceeded to take four-hundred, sixty dollars ($460) in cash, and three (3) bottles of Hennessy cognac. The complainant valued the damage to the rear door and video security system to be approximately three-hundred dollars ($300).

Incident #6:


DC# 25-18-017559

On April 8, 2025, at approximately 9:42 AM, 18th District officers responded to 5228 Market Street for a radio call of a commercial burglary at the Afor Market. The officers met with the complainant, who reported that the business was closed, and secured on April  7, 2025, at approximately 8:00 PM. When he returned on April 8, 2025, at approximately 9:40 AM, he noticed the electrical power for the store was off, and multiple large holes in the ceiling and through the roof. He reported the ATM was broken into, and an unknown amount of money was missing from the ATM. He also reported the main officer was ransacked, and approximately $720 dollars was stolen from various cash registers in the store. The ATM appeared to have been wiped down with bleach.

Incident #7:
DC# 25-18-020152

On April 22, 2025, at 6:19 AM, 18th District Officers responded to 5101 Walnut Street (Philly Laundry) for a report of burglary. Upon arrival, officers observed the ATM machine inside of that location broken open with the cash boxes emptied, the rear door cut in half, and portions of the drop ceiling damaged for offenders to cut camera wires. Taken was $3,610 from the ATM and $300 from the drawer inside of the main office. Video of the incident depicted two males forcing entry through the rear door and remaining inside of the location for approximately 30 minutes prior to leaving with above amount of USC. The offenders were wearing gloves, and additionally poured bleach on the ATM machine after breaking it open.

Incident #8:
DC# 25-19-028095

On April 29, 2025, 19th District officers responded to a report of a burglary at “Bleu B Soul” located at 5610 Lancaster Ave, suite 1000. SWDD processed the scene and spoke with the owner at location. He stated the last person at location was on April 29, 2025, at approximately 12:45am and the first worker to arrive to find the business burglarized at 6:40am. The owner observed the ATM broken into, 3 registers broken open, and 1 safe opened with all the money missing. He observed the rear door damaged and forced open. The cameras on location were turned up. Total missing; $9,625, 15 liquor bottles $1,700, 3 damaged registers $6,000, and 1 damaged exterior door $500.

Incident #9:
DC# 25-19-032855

On May 17, 2025, at 8:57 AM, the complainant of Beauty Point located at 5610 Lancaster Avenue reported a commercial burglary to the Philadelphia Police, 19th District. The complainants reported that they secured the location on May 16, 2025, at 7:00 PM, when they left for the day. On May 17, 2025, approximately 4:24 AM, the complainants received a notification from the store’s alarm company that a sensor inside the store was tripped. Upon arrival at the complainants discovered that an unknown person or persons cut a hole in the ceiling of their business before entering the location and immediately disabling the store’s security cameras. The complainants reported that approximately $800 was taken from the cash register, $4,000 was taken from an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) inside of the store, approximately $13,000 in various miscellaneous store products were also taken as well as $800 in petty cash was taken. The complainants estimate the damages to the property to be approximately $5,000.
