
Shooting At Oxford Valley Mall

UPDATE 7:30 PM Police said the shooter and victim knew each other. This was a targeted shooting.
Just before 5:30 PM today, a person was shot inside the Oxford Valley Mall, near the bus stop, which is near the One Oxford Valley Building. Medics rushed in and transported the person to a local hospital, possibly St. Mary’s. The injuries were said to be very serious.

The shooter was not on scene , so police were looking for them. The mall was evacuated. Other stores , not on the mall property were placed in lock down. Police methodically checked each store and hallway. People were seen leaving the mall, from young children to senior citizens.

Police were searching the area surrounding JC Penney for evidence , but the brunt of the activity was near the One Oxford Valley Building. Fire companies were called just in case, and they stage near the Firestone building.
A quick moving storm ripped up a lot of the crime scene tape that was hung around the crime scene. Police did not say if they made any arrests or if they found a gun. They did not say how many times the victim was shot or where.
