What a perfect weekend to see some new things and meet creative people in the Manayunk section of the city, on Main Street. Dozens of people showed up to show off what they had done and talk about their art projects they hoped to sell. It was the annual Manayunk Arts Festival

Thousands of people showed up . If you did not live nearby, the best way to get there was to park in a lot about a mile away and take a shuttle bus. Once there, on both sides of Main Street, you can meander along and see paintings, photography , glass sculptures and even wood carvings.

About the only thing missing was an airbrush artist. This was the 36th time the two day event took place.

Who says art has to be something you can see and appreciate for decades? Many restaurants along Main Street were open and had specials, and many chefs were creating works of art in their kitchens.

According to the website about 300 different crafters were there. You can get a custom made bobble head, or see some pottery . One artist was even doing things with Ramen Noodles.
