Motorcyclist In Serious Condition After Rt.13 Crash In Croydon

by Alex Lloyd Gross

It was about 11:30 AM today, when a motorcycle rider slammed into the rear of another vehicle on the 400 block of Bristol Pike, which is across from the Sunrise Diner. Both vehicle were in a southern direction, police said, when the crash occurred.

Medics arrived and the rider was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. He was thrown from is bike several feet. It was unknown if he was wearing a helmet, but he was alert when first responders arrived.

Police took measurements which resulted in Bristol Township Fire Police shuttling traffic between the north and southbound lanes. The driver and passenger of the car did not sustain an injury and the car was driven away from the crash scene. The motorcycle left on the bed of a tow truck.

I gotta say that anyone riding a bike is riding a risky machine.
A lot more than being in a car that surrounds you.
So this guy is now hurting, but I wouldn’t count out that he was riding like a fool or distracted.

Written in Driver’s Ed manuals….”Always be in control of your vehicle” – but of course plenty of morons ignore that warning.
