Simple Crash Turns Into Extrication In Bensalem

A simple two vehicle crash resulted in an auto extrication with a door removal yesterday in Bensalem. It was about 4:30 PM when a passenger car with two people in it were exiting the parking lot of Dom’s Seafood on the 3700 b of Route 13.

A northbound pick up truck, towing a landscaping trailer collided with the car, after the vehicle entered the road pushing it about 15 feet. The driver and passenger of the car sustained serious but not life threatening injuries. The driver of the landscaping truck was not hurt.

Firefighters were called when rescue squad personnel could not remove the driver. The drivers door was removed. This crash and the apparatus placement resulted in severe traffic delays for about 30 minutes.
