Foghat To Play Local Show at Keswick Theater

On July 11, 2025, legendary rockers Foghat will make a return to this area. They will pay at the Keswick Theater in Glenside. Bryan Bassett, the bands guitar player is looking forward to the show as well. “We’re gonna play a few new songs off the Sonic Mojo record we released last year. This sis real well for us, it went to number one on the Billboard Blues Charts. We may also play a song from my old band for an encore, Wild Cherry.

The song Bassett is referring to is “Play That Funky Music”, which according to Bassett, “Those were the days of 45’s.. We recorded it ourselves, we did not have a record label . We just wanted to get a 45 out and get it into some regional jukeboxes,” The fact that it is still played regularly today is “nutty”, said Bassett.

Around the time that that came out, so did songs like “Slow Ride” “Fool For The City” Those songs get played on the radio just like Wild Cherry, and according to Bassett, it’s still a huge thrill to hear his songs on the radio. It’s also a thrill to be playing shows with bands Bassett played when he was in a cover band many years ago.

Foghat will roll into the area the day before, to get to their hotel and make sure there are no delays. For this show, Keith Roth the DJ for Sirius XM is the opener. Then Foghat will take the stage. Fans can expect to see Foghat to about 90 minutes maybe a bit more.

Bassett is a sound engineer and worked on several Foghat records. Those records are available on vinyl, cassette and CD, as well as download. Of all of those formats, Bassett likes CD’s the best and he is not happy that new cars do not come with CD players in them.

Fans should bring their CD’s to the show. If able, Bassett said the band will sign them. For free. A few tickets to this show remain.
