It was just before 2:00 AM when the Time Out On Pine was closing for the evening back on June 29, 2025. According to police, there were three people in the parking lot who were arguing amongst themselves. This was a verbal dispute, police said, with no punches being thrown. One of the four security staff went to try to sort it out.

The disturbance did not stop, but police stress it was not physical. Within a few, other security staff started over, most of them walked over except one, Kris Sanchez. He ran over to the group, tossing his hat and gave it to another security staff. Sanchez then allegedly started throwing punches according to court documents

As the other staff and patrons deescalate the situation, one of the victims is standing next to Sanchez, doing nothing, Sanchez then pushes him away. The male is standing near the curb not being aggressive, when Sanchez, without provocation, police said, hits the male in the face, causing him to fall backwards onto Pine Road. Police arrived shortly after this and watched the video of what happened on the bar’s security system.

Sanchez, of the 300 block of South Broad Street in Philadelphia was arrested and charged with aggravated and simple assault as well as harassment. The male that fell onto Pine Road was taken by medics to a local hospital as a trauma patient. He underwent a CT scan, police said.
