Two Males Arrested For West Philly Carjack Killing

Carmen Suero Jr., from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. was committed to helping people achieve sobriety. He regularly held, attended and ran meetings, helping people do this. On July 13,2025, just after 5:00 PM, he left his vehicle idling as he went to speak with someone at 63rd and Vine Streets.
That is when police said two males jumped him and saw the vehicle as an opportunity. They tried to take it and when 70 year old Suero saw what was happening, he went to stop them and got shot and killed for his efforts.
Armed carjacking is also a federal offense. The feds may also want to try these two as well. Police quickly arrested Nasir Brogdon a 19-year-old is being charged with Murder, Conspiracy, Robbery, Robbery of Motor Vehicle, Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, Tampering with Evidence, VUFA, and PIC.
