Male From Northeast Arrested For Port Richmond Murder

Philadelphia Police announced the arrest of Patrick Suarez, 20, from the 6100 block of Torresdale Avenue. He was arrested for the July 15,2025 shooting death of Michael Neumann of the 2600 block of East Ann Street. The shooting happened near Salmon and Monmouth Streets about 1:37 AM, police said.
Suarez was named as a suspect in the shooting and was spotted by police before he ran. A short foot chase resulted in Suarez getting arrested and charged with murder and weapons offenses, police said.
A handgun was taken from him after his arrest. Neumann was shot in the head once. Police did not list a motive. Ballistics evidence will determine if the gun recovered was indeed the one used in the homicide.
