Male Sought In West Philly For Being A Porch Pirate

Police in West Philadelphia are on the lookout for a package thief that walked onto the porch of a house on the 4800 block of Trinity Place. Security cameras were recording when the black male in a sleeveless style white t shirt strolls onto the porch and removes the package. He is last seen on foot towards 49th Street.
Police are hoping someone knows who he is or the male turns himself in. Stealing packages off someone’s porch is stupid because the thief does not know what he is going to get. The thief is hoping for something valuable to re sell, like brand name headphones. When they open the package, they will often find it’s a novelty shirt in size small, or a part for a specific item, that is worthless except to the purchaser. Other times it is a package of adult diapers, or maybe even a gift from a family member, a box containing rare family photos.
