Crash Causes Problems On Roosevelt Boulevard In Northeast

by Alex lloyd Gross

A multi car accident on the northbound lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard caused problems for motorists yesterday afternoon. Authorities said a vehicle had broken down in the northbound inner lane and had it’s hazards on. Motorists either slowed to avoid it or made an abrupt lane change, which caused cars to collide.

At least two people were taken to a local hospital. As emergency vehicle arrived, the 8800 block of the Blvd became even more congested and people were driving their vehicles over the median to get away from what was ahead of them. Police were going to close the road at Rhawn Street but the vehicles were able to be moved from traffic before that was necessary.

None of the injuries were considered life threatening. Help was delayed as responders were dispatched to a wrong location, half a mile away.
