Route 13 in Bristol Township is now going to be using red light cameras. They will go in trial mode August 18 2025. Motorists that go past a red signal will be issued a warning for 30 days. After the warning period fines will be accessed at $100.00 per violation.

The cameras will be at two intersections on Bristol Pike, Green Lane and and Edgley Road. The consensus about red light cameras is split between motorists that love them and those that hate them.

Intersections that have red light cameras have more crashes that are rear end than others. While some crashes are avoided, motorists confused about how the cameras work will slam on their brakes during a yellow light, causing a crash to happen.

These cameras are about prevention, not punishment. They serve as a constant reminder to slow
down, stay alert, and respect the rules of the road.
Bristol Township does not receive any proceeds from the violations issued. The funds are used
to pay for the equipment, and the remainder goes to PennDot to upgrade intersections throughout Pennsylvania.

Red light cameras exist in Philadelphia, Abington, Bensalem in this area.

They need to install some “stop sign” cameras around the Mayfair area.
Cars go racing at high speeds right though intersections with stop signs, like their trying to win a race.
I’ve already seen several crashes near my house.
The police would make a bundle from speeding tickets!

You need to educate yourself, as no sense is being made here. I suggest you pull up the National Motorists Association. All automated enforcement should be banned in PA.
