John Thomas Mathis is the male who got shot by Bensalem Police Saturday night, after he allegedly pointed a gun at officers. He was released from prison today and transferred right to District Justice Terry Hughes to face charges relating to a road rage incident unrelated to the Bensalem matter.

Hughes stuck Mathis behind bars with a $1,000,000 bond for those charges. He has not yet been charged with the Bensalem incident. Those charges will be lodged once the investigation is finished, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s office.

Additionally, Mathis is being held on his numerous other outstanding court matters, for which bench warrants had been issued. You can read the original story here.
