Warminster Resident Arrested For Blowing Up His Employer’s House In New Jersey

Michael Patrick Takacs, Jr., 43, of Warminster, Pennsylvania is charged in Federal Court in New Jersey with having an explosive device and putting it under a vehicle in Delran during the early morning hours of July 26 , 2025. US Attorney Alina Habba said.

According to the criminal complaint, A dark colored Jeep was parked directly out front of the victims house. An individual was carrying something in his band, placed it on the ground near the drivers door and then sped away. A similar vehicle then returned at a high rate of speed and seconds later the explosion happened, police said.

The investigation revealed that the victim was Takacs’ supervisor and fired him in May 2025. . He also drove a Jeep similar to the one in the video. Investigators searched his trash and found a fireworks igniter that they say was very similar to the one used in the bomb.

During a search of Takacs’s house, they found cell phone screen shots of a map to his bosses residence and investigators learned that he inquired about a license plate flipper.

Tackas has an initial court appearance on the charges of one count of transporting in interstate commerce an explosive and related charges. He was ordered detained pending trial.
