Crash on Comly Road Sends One To Hospital

A grinding two vehicle crash on the 2800 block of Comly Road sent one driver to the hospital in serious condition yesterday afternoon. According to police, a pick up truck was exiting a driveway and managed to succesully clear two lanes of cars.
As the driver entered the turn lane, which morphs into a left turn only lane about 50 feet away for vehicles to turn onto the Roosevelt Boulevard. Another vehicle was in the turn lane and the two collided. The driver of the truck was not hurt.
One lane of traffic on Comly Road was closed for the crash. Additional firefighters were called and secured the power on the vehicles. No tickets were issued at the scene, police said.
