Male Shot During Child Custody Exchange In Northeast

One male was shot during a custody exchange near Bliegh Avenue and Whittaker last night, just before 10:30 PM. When people end a relationship and they have a child together, at times, the separation can be acrimonious, and sometimes the courts will have to become involved to distaste who can have the child. When couples exchange the child, sometimes it does not go smooth.
As the child was being exchanged last night, the ex girlfriend brought her current boyfriend. An argument happened and before long that escalated into a fight, in front of the child. The current boyfriend pulled out a pistol and used it to hit the ex boyfriend in his face, causing bruising. He then shot him once in the leg and ran off with his ex girlfriend.
No word on what happened to the child who was not hurt. This is a domestic related incident and police know who they are looking for.
