Bucks County Police Look For Home Repair Fraudsters

by Alex Lloyd Gross

It is so hard to find a reputable contractor to do home repairs. Some will not return a call about an estimate, others are so busy that they can fit you in in a few months. Then there are people like Superior Paving and Construction. They out and out overcharged for substandard work and brought in “inspectors” that claimed even more work was needed for the job, police said.

According to police, a customer hired them for a project and kept finding problems that needed to be corrected. During the process Superior Paving and Construction brought in an inspector by the name of “Steve” who conspired to find issues. A second inspector was contacted, “Tony” from MAGA Construction & Masonry (Business receipt header attached) and he also conspired with Superior Paving and Construction to continue finding issues and further the costs, police said.

Police said that at no time were any permits secured for this job. It is unknown exactly what qualification “Steve” or “Tony” had to inspect work. They were not township employees. We are asking if any one else had any contact with these contractors or had similar, over charging for shabby unfinished work done by these contractors. If so, please contact Detective Stephen Brookes #57 phone# 215-357-1235 ext 339
