Male Arrested In Parkwood For Attempted Rape In Bensalem

About 2:48 PM a woman was relaxing inside her condo at Lafayette Gardens on Bristol Pike, which is just over the line from Philadelphia. Suddenly, a heavyset white male burst into her home, through an unlocked door. He grabbed her and started to disrobe, police said.
While he was doing this, he made lewd comments to her, at one point, he told her”You look tasty”. The woman fought him off as he continued to disrobe. At some point, the male put his clothes back on and ran away. Police were called and surveilled the area.
At one point, officers went to the Sunoco which is in Philadelphia, at Knights and Frankford Ave. where they found the male who matched the description. The male was positively identified by the victim. His name is Louis Sophie and he is a registered sex offender from Florida.
Sophie lived on Southampton Road in Philadelphia, not far from the attack. He was arraigned by District Justice Stacey Wertman who ordered him held on $1,000,000.00 bail. He could not pay it and was transported to the Bucks County Prison.
