Car Collides With Tractor Trailer On Harbison Ave

by Alex Lloyd Gross

A two-vehicle crash sent a female to the hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries, including broken ribs, when her car slammed into the side of a tractor trailer about 2:15 PM today on Harbison Ave., at Comly Street.

The driver of the truck, Cedrick Gladden, from Georgia, was uninjured and walking round the scene. Gladden said he was driving on Harbison Avenue, going towards Frankford Ave., when the car came into the intersection from Comly Road. The car rotated a bit and came to rest in the intersection after the collision.

The truck came to a controlled rest against the curb about 15 feet from the scene. The front wheels were bent, as well as the bumper and side of the truck. Police said neither vehicle had any passengers. Harbsion Ave was closed to traffic for about 45 minutes.

  1. That woman was my grandmother. She’s dead now because of this accident, my grandmother who was 75 and had this accident not happen would still be here because she was perfectly fine. Also, not only broken ribs, it was six broken ribs, broken wrists, pelvic bones and more and the biggest part? Death.

  2. I would kindly like to know where you got all of your information from , also how did you know her injuries, isn’t that a HIPPA violation to post this stuff without consent? This woman passed away from her injuries 8 hours after this happened. It’s a total disregard to her family and insensitive to the now deceased and it’s also an ongoing investigation.
You seemed to interview the tractor driver and not the female driver, story seems one sided .
Condolences to the family of this woman
