Father Charged In Infant Death From 2012 Abuse Case

On October 12,2025, Kyle Hinkle was caring for his three month old infant son when the baby would not stop crying. Frustrated, Hinkle shook the baby violently,without supporting the child’s head. The child was taken to Jefferson Hospital ( previously Aria) and the child was diagnosed with bleeding in the brain and retinal hemorrhages, injuries highly suspicious for inflicted abuse. A CAT scan revealed new and old injuries in various stages of healing. The infant, born in July 2012 and residing at a home on Virginia Avenue, Bensalem, was transferred to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children for specialized evaluation and treatment.

Hinkle was charged with Aggravated Assault and other charges which he ultimately plead guilty to, police said. He did two years in the Bucks County Prison. He lived, at that time on Virginia Avenue in Bensalem, police said.

On August 14, 2024, Bensalem Township Police were notified by the Pennsylvania State Police
that the victim from the 2012 investigation had died in Oliver, Pennsylvania, at age 11. An
autopsy in Westmoreland County determined the cause of death was complications of blunt force
trauma to the head and neck resulting from the 2012 abuse.

Hinkle was now living in Allentown and he was arrested for 3rd Degree Murder. Bensalem Police went to Allentown to retrieve Hinkle at his place of employment. His bail is set at $2,000,000, , 10 percent. police said.

  1. WHY even have a child if your can’t take proper care for it?
    And babies that age do not know how to control themsleves yet….. the parents should know and undersand that before having them.
    Sad.
