Renaissance, the band that brought you such classic gems as “Northern Lights” and “Carpet Of the Sun” will be playing a two hour set this Saturday, November 29,2025 at the Lansdowne Theater, which is a brand new venue.

This band is fronted by Delaware Valley native Annie Haslam, “This show came out of the blue, sort of last minute, in September , they originally wanted to have me down for a one woman show and after I pulled myself off the floor laughing, I said no,”, Haslam said. They just wanted her to tell stories and maybe do a Q&A. “It’s not going to be enough for a show, They changed that idea. Now the night starts off with (founding member )Jim McCarty and I talking about some stories about the start of the band, we’ll do some songs and then a brief intermission. After that we’ll comeback and do a Renaissance show,” Haslam said.

Haslam said they wanted to play the Lansdowne Theater before but it was still undergoing renovations, “So we played the Scottish Rite, which is in Collingswood NJ,” She has seen photos of the new venue and is excited about playing it.

Haslam has taken advantage of some of the classic rock cruises, where you can sail with bands and then mingle with them. Bands form friendships with other musicians and fans on the cruises.”We see fans from all over the world turn up and see their bands on a cruise, what a great idea, ” she said. Fans want to learn about her and the band and she is often asked about how she started singing. “It’s a long story ,”Haslam joked.

For this show they will show videos of past shows, “For some reason the record company did not film Carnegie Hall or the Royal Albert Hall, which does not make sense, but Jim has quite a lot of videos to show,” Haslam said.

Haslam is an accomplished painter as well. “We will be using some of paintings on set and I may bring smaller ones with me to sell. Her work is abstract and it’s really good. “Art is a luxury now,” Haslam said, which is part of the reason her art work is reasonably priced.

A few tickets to the show remain, For more information, you can go here.
