Multiple People Hurt From Oxford Avenue Crash

Three medic units were called after two vehicles crashed head-on at the intersection of Oxford Avenue and Hartel Street. Witnesses said that both vehicles were traveling on Oxford Avenue in opposite directions. When someone made a left turn onto Oxford Avenue, the vehicle behind that car moved into the oncoming traffic lane and struck a northbound car.
The force of the impact caused both cars to careen out of control, with one landing on a grassy lot and the other in a parking lot. A large debris field was left after the wreckage.
This accident is in a hard to reach area of the city. You either enter from Rhawn Street or Cottman Avenue. There are no cut through roads , which hindered emergency response. Police did not show up to the accident scene, which made traffic even more congested.
The medic units transported people from the vehcles in conditions ranging from stble to critical. One vehicle possibly collide4d with a parked unattended vehicle after the original crash.
