Woman Takes Off From Live Stop, Hits A Police Car In Process



On Friday, December 5, 2025, at approximately 2:10 pm, while officers were conducting a Live Stop on a red 2007 Chrysler Sebring operated by a 20-year-old female, the offender reversed the vehicle and made light contact with the officers’ vehicle. No damage was reported. As officers instructed her to place the vehicle in park, she instead shifted into drive, subsequently striking an officer No injuries were reported.

The offender fled the scene northbound on 6th Street. The vehicle was later located by 25th District officers on the 2800 block of North 8th Street, where it had been involved in a separate accident. The vehicle was positively identified as the same one operated by the offender. Information was received that the offender fled the accident on foot, heading southbound on 8th Street before turning westbound onto Somerset Street.

The offender was taken into custody at Temple Women’s Hospital, located at 1331 E. Wyoming Avenue.

She will be charged with assault on police and related offenses. When that happens, police will release her name.
