Two Shot At Frankford Transportation Center

Two males were shot inside the Frankford Transportation Center, along the 5200 block of Frankford Avenue. Police said it was around 9:00 AM when an argument turned into a fight between two males. One pulled a gun and shot the other once time.

The male that was shot then attacked the male that shot him and during the struggle, the gun went off and the male was shot with his own gun. Both were rushed to area hospitals in stable condition, police said. Detectives have not charged anyone as of yet pending the conclusion of the investigation.

Service was not affected. One door and an area inside the transit center were roped off for a short time. No one else was hurt. and detectives are reviewing security footage of the ncident.

  1. Back in the day when I was a teen in the 1970s, I could walk safely from Bridge/Jackson at night up to the avenue to get mom a newspaper from the news stand aone the corner of PrattFrankford.
    I might even stop at McDonalds for a burger.
    Mom used to like going to the S.S. Kresge’s store for stuff.
    And I often took the el train to go to work in CC.

    But these days???
    I wouldn’t get near that once decent neighborhood that’s turned into a sloppy Ghetto crime-ridden mess.
