17 Year Old Arrested For West Philly Fatal Hit and Run

Hector Rodriguez was killed in an accident that happened at 56th and Lancaster on December-20 2025. The driver responsible for this did not stop. Rodriguez was riding his bicycle home from his job at a south Philadelphia bar when the crash happened. He was in a bike lane when the crash happened, police said.
Police checked security cameras and license plate readers and developed a few leads. A suspect who is only described as a 17 year old male turned himself into police yesterday, accompanied by his lawyer and his mother.
Due to his being charged as a juvenile, his name cannot be released. He faces the following charges on a juvenile level.
