Pedestrian Hit On Route 13 In Croydon

A female who was crossing Route 13 at Newportville Road was hit by a vehicle that was going to go north from Newportville Road. The female pedestrian sustained serious but non life threatening injuries .
The crash happened just before 8:00 AM. The vehicle was traveling at a very slow speed and did not sustain any visible damage, to the front of the car, which made contact with the woman. Police had closed northbound Route 13 at Newportville Road, which caused traffic to back up on Bristol Pike.
The road was reopened in less than 30 minutes.
