by Alex Lloyd Gross

When Warrington Police encountered a suspicious male walking along the parking lot of Sparta on Easton Road the found Vitalii Grigorev ,41, of Feasterville. Police said he was highly intoxicated, requested a translator but continued to speak with the officers in English.

According to police, they spoke with him earlier in the night, when he lied to them and said he was going to get a bus to Philadelphia. That never happened. Instead,he spent the night at a club. Officers said they offered him a courtesy ride but he declined.

While officers spoke with Grigorev, other officers noticed a Freightliner tractor parked partially on the lawn nearby. The vehicle’s engine was still warm and displayed fresh damage, indicating recent operation. As officers began investigating the truck, Grigorev changed his mind and agreed to accept a ride. When asked directly if he had been driving the Freightliner, Grigorev denied operating the vehicle.

Since he lied before about going to Philly, officers were not accepting his story , They checked security cameras and found Grigorev was indeed driving the truck. He refused sobriety tests, after he allegedly told police he was drunk.

He was arrested for DUI and public drunkenness. After he was processed at the police station, he did get the courtesy transportation to a nearby motel, police said.
