Male Wanted For Pepper Spray Incident In Venezuela Protest In Philly

Philadelphia Police just released images they are looking for of a suspect who pepper sprayed another male during a Venezuela protest January 10,2026. This protest happened on the 800 block of Market Street.

Police said that a 22 year old male was walking down the street when the male in the red jacket kept blocking his path. A heated exchange happened and the male in the red jacket then pepper sprayed the 22 year old.

The male in the red jacket had no idea of how to use pepper spray at it blew back into his face, causing him to seek medical treatment from people at the protest. They were seen flushing his eyes with water and trying to help him.

In the meantime, police said the 22 year old went to Pennsylvania Hospital and he was in stable condition. The male in the red jacket ran from the scene and is now wanted for assault.

Suspect Description: White male 30-40 years-of-age, 5’8″, 170lbs, wearing a red hooded jacket, tan pants and red and black Salomon XT-6 sneakers.
