Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem Fired

Just hours after being grilled by congressional lawmakers over her handling of immigration and rumors of a romantic relationship with Cory Lewandowski , Kristi Noem has been fired from her position as Homeland Security Secretary. She will continue as a “Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas,” a new security initiative put forth by the Trump Administration.
Markwayne Mullin, a Republican Senator from Oklahoma is expected to be names as replacement Secretary.”I am pleased to announce that the Highly Respected United States Senator from the Great State of Oklahoma, Markwayne Mullin, will become the United States Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS), effective March 31, 2026,” Trump said in a statement on his social media platform Truth Social.
Noem took the heat after ICE agents shot and killed two people in Minneapolis.
