Philly 250 Pep Rally Held In Old City

The entire world will be watching Philadelphia in the up coming few months. From FIFA, to championship golf and the All Star Game it’s coming and to get geared up for it, there was a media event held at the Cherry Street Pier today.

Mascots from Philly sports teams and even Pittsburgh were on hand to meet Governor Josh Shapiro and play around with Tim McCarthy, who was the emcee of the days events. On hand to speak were representatives for Philadelphia Soccer 2026 and the PGA Championship. Pittsburgh is hosting the NFL draft this year and that town sent Jimm Britt who is the VP of Sports Events who is helping to organize the events.

Philadelphia will have a free Fan Fest around Lemon Hill Park that will last almost a month for soccer fans. The Ben Franklin Bridge will be closed to traffic and a parade of mayors from across the United States is planned for July 4th weekend. .

Multiple steppers and dance clubs put on some entertainment prior to the start of the event that involved flips and kicks that must be seen.
