Male Arrested For West Philly Stabbing Homicide
Philadelphia Police have arrested James Street, 43 after a domestic argument turned violent. Police reports indicate officers were dispatched to a well being call on April 5 2026 to the 5500 block of West Girard Avenue to check on Tyhesia Street, who had not been seen in several weeks.
Police found her inside the home and she was un responsive. police said she was found in a second floor bedroom with multiple stab wounds and medics were called immediately. They pronounced her dead at 1:50 PM.
Following a complete investigation, which included fingerprints, camera and license plate reader technology, James was arrested on April 7 2026 and charged with murder and weapons offenses, police said.
