Three People Shot From Argument In Northeast Philly

by Alex Lloyd Gross

When police responded to Ditman and Knorr Streets about 10:12 PM last night, for a report of gunshots, they found ballistic evidence but no victims. Soon, that would change. A 24 year old male walking to a corner store got caught in the crossfire and sustained a gunshot wound to his calf.

He was located inside a residence on the 4500 block of Longshore Street.

Simultaneously, authorities were notified that two other men had arrived by private vehicle at Frankford Hospital South seeking treatment for gunshot wounds. One victim, 28, sustained wounds to his left leg and abdomen, while a 33-year-old man was treated for a gunshot wound to his left forearm.

The preliminary investigation suggests the two older men were attending a party on the 6800 block of Ditman Street when a knock at the door led to a fight spilling out onto the sidewalk. The altercation turned violent when an unidentified individual began firing into the crowd, police said.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group is leading the investigation. All three victims are reported to be in stable condition. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active.
