Car Drives Into Burger King On Welsh Rd.

A car drove through the Burger King at Welsh Road and Leonard. Street and became wedged inside. The accident happened just before noon and caused the restaurant to be closed completely. There were no reports of injuries.
License and Inspections could not send any workers to the scene for an inspection as everyone was working the parking garage collapse at 30th and Grays Ferry Road. A supervisor had to take the call and arrived just after 12:30 PM.
The wall was knocked inside the building and the car had pushed tables and chairs. The front door was knocked off it’s hinges as well. This Burger King recently suffered fire damage several years ago and had to be rebuilt. It is unknown how long this restaurant will be closed for.
