Argument Between Family Members At Cause Of Fatal Trevose Accident

Around 5:00 PM, a teenager got into an argument with family members and took the keys to the family car, multiple witnesses said . He drove the car at high speed down Bristol Road, near Chestnut Street in Trevose., hitting at least two other vehicles, including a heating oil truck head on, multiple, independent witnesses said at the scene. He lost control near a dip in the road, witnesses said. .
His vehicle flipped at least twice, witnesses said, partially ejecting him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. At least two other drivers of cars involved in the crash sustained injuries. Bristol Road was closed to traffic from Old Lincoln Highway through the accident scene.
Multiple side streets were jammed with drivers trying to navigate around the scene. It is unclear just how many people were in each vehicle and the exact number of vehicles involved.
One chain link fence was ripped from the ground. Bristol Road is expected to be closed for several hours in the area of the crash.
