Barricaded suspect taken into custody in Bensalem

A man wanted by Bensalem Police did not surrender when he was approached by cops with a warrant. Instead, he hunkered down in his Clive Avenue house and held cops at bay for close to six hours. his name is Mark Flemming. But several news outlets, including Levittown Now state that he was no stranger to cops. Reports say that the man was just recently released from prison. The official charges lodged against him include witness intimidation, stalking and related offenses. He was not allowed to have a firearm but cops said he had one anyway.
By noon on Friday, February 19,2016 it was Flemming was not going to surrender and SWAT units were called in from surrounding townships. As a small portion of Clive Avenue was locked down, cops began the task of negotiating with the subject. By 3:45 PM the suspect agreed to surrender. guns were pointed at him and he was secured. Within minutes, he was hustled to the back seat of a Police SUV with tinted windows and driven to Bensalem Police Headquarters. He will be arraigned later in the evening and then remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
