Want to go to the 2016 Flower Show? Better hurry, it runs until Sunday  March 13  and that’s it for another year.  The show features elaborate displays by elite landscapers  and  smaller flower displays that anyone can do. This year the theme is centered around trails and the different flowers and foliage one can encounter  while hiking  on a trail.   Of course, there are horticulturalists  there to answer questions people have.

One of the displays is a long structure with  windows in it.  People walk down and see inside the windows. They gaze at miniature displays that look lifelike. These took months to build and get just right.  Tickets to enter are expensive. But you can go to the secure website listed above and purchased tickets for $31.00 each.  Day of show at the box office runs $34.00.

There are craft people thereto see gardening tools and accessories. For every budget.  They have light kits for about $15.00 to huge custom brass animals for $13,000 each.  It’;s best to go during the week when crowds will be at a minimum.  Cameras are welcome and many people bring expensive gear there and come away with amazing photos.

On the trail displays, there is even a Ranger Station, where Park Rangers can answer your questions. During the weekends it can take as much as 15 minutes to stand in line to enter the displays.  No one goes through them quickly. There is too much to see .
