Charges possible in Levittown fatal crash
By Alex Lloyd Gross
Police in Middletown Pa. are investigating to see if any charges should be filed stemming from a fatal two vehicle crash that happened just after 11:30 PM June 27, 2016 . The crash happened in a residential neighborhood, not a busy highway. Frosty Hollow Road and Upper Orchard Drive is the location where you would expect to see a low speed fender bender. This was anything but.
Cops said that is appeared a vehicle operated by Samuel Dick of Levittown was east on Upper Orchard, when he is alleged to have veered into the on coming lane of a car operated by William Hogan of Bensalem . Cops said that it appeared Dick was traveling faster than the posted speed limit when the two cars collided. Hogan’s car was pushed into a utility pole and he was trapped in his car. He died on scene. Dick was removed via rescue companies that were on scene.
Hogan’s friend arrived at the scene and was devastated to find his friend dying in a car crash. He said that Hogan was a dog breeder and loved animals. “He always had dogs with him, he lived alone just him and his dogs”, he said. Cops checked the car and did not find any dogs. Authorities will have to determine if any dogs are still unattended in Hogan’s house. Cops said charges may be filed after the case is reviewed by the District Attorney.
Frosty Hollow Road was closed in the area for most of the night. Neither vehicle had any passengers, police said.
