Argument leads to murder suicide in Philadelphia

An argument is being blamed for the deaths of two people found stabbed to death inside a house on the 12000 block of Elmore Road in the northeast. Neighbors said that the two people were boyfriend and girlfriend.
A concerned neighbor called police after they did not see the homeowner who was not seen since September 12, 2016. As cops arrived they found the front door was not secured and they entered the house. The found the body of Virginia McLaughlin near the front door. She had been stabbed multiple times. As cops searched the house, they found Lawrence Carty dead in the kitchen. He apparently had stabbed himself multiple times in on his arms.
Medics were called and pronounced both dead at 1:18PM September 13, 2016.
