Metro Diner opens in Bensalem
By Alex Lloyd Gross
If you were driving on Street Road in Bensalem you probably noticed a new diner that opened up right where the Turnpike EZ pass exit is. It’s called the Metro Diner. It just opened the last week of September and it,s getting well known already. The name Metro Diner is well known in the State of Florida. Now they are pushing north into Pennsylvania.
This establishment is the first in the region. Because it is still new, they are still in the hiring process. That means they are still in the training process. According to Britney Wilcox, the Training Coordinator for Metro Diner, “We brought people up from Florida to train our new employees. These people, are the best of the best”, she said. Inside the diner, things were bustling along as servers and waiters worked to get people their food during a recent lunch rush.
They key to a successful restaurant is the ability to get food orders done and done correctly. The prices are a bit higher than other places in the region but it appears they will work to get your order correct the first time. In fact, they will substitute items to satisfy the customer. The diner is not open 24 hours. It is very convenient to travelers getting off the Pa Turnpike , as it’s the first thing they see at the exit.
