A huge warehouse in the Frankford section of the city, located on the 4500 block of Worth Street was turned into a marijuana smoking party,  which was organized via social media.  This group, which charges $50.00 admission and has been holding these parties for several years.  The one held April 22, 2017 in the warehouse got raided and 22 people were arrested.

Most of those in attendance were let go, as they were only there as participants. A man identified by police as Rich Tamicciio , who also goes by the  name N.A.Poe was arrested and his house was raided as well. At least 50 pounds of pot was confiscated as were numerous pot smoking aides and THC laced food products. as cops stormed the party, it became clear that they were not going to  be able to transport and process multitudes of people. They offered amnesty to people to willingly surrendered their drugs before they let them leave. Before they left, they were searched.

Large amounts of pot are still illegal in the city. However,  James Kenney led the way to decriminalize small amounts of pot for personal use, when he was a councilman. Police will issue non criminal, civil citations, if they even bother .  Police could not be reached to find out the exact charges lodged against the 22 people that were arrested.
