Police investigate pedestrian accident in Tullytown

Police were called to the scene of a pedestrian accident in Tullytown last night, November 6, 2018. The accident happened just before 6:00 PM on the 300 block of Main Street, which is just after the bridge that brings motorists into town. Not much information is known, but at the scene, the pedestrian appeared to be a female who was carrying an umbrella.
Athletic shoes were strewn about the street, from the impact. One vehicle at the scene was marked offwith evidence markers and stayed at the scene, parked at a curb, nearby. Police would not say if the driver stayed at the scene or fled. The age of the person struck and their condition is unknown. police should have a news release with more information later today.
Main Street was closed to traffic for several hours. Tullytown fire crews were at the scene to assist with lighting.
