The incident happened Monday, June 24 just after 2 p.m. at the Home Depot store on Easton Road, authorities say.The two men, later identified as Christopher Adam Buonicon of Bensalem and John L Capps Jr. of Philadelphia, were seen loading a shopping cart “to the point it was overflowing” with the power tools, police wrote in court documents.The men then  fled the store to a box truck, where they unloaded the tools into the back and left the area.

Police were called to the scene and located the truck.

Capps, 54, and Buonicon, 34, were taken into  custody and returned to the police headquarters .

Buonicon has an active Bucks County warrant for probation violations against him and was taken to the Bucks County Correctional Facility after processing and transferd  to prison staff, authorities say.

Both were in possession of controlled substances- marijuana and suspected heroin, police said.

Buonicon has prior arrests for retail theft by the Bensalem Township Police Department.

As of publication court dates for have yet to be set for either man, according to county records.
