The SPCA is responsible for investigating animal cruelty cases and most of the time, those animals  found to be mistreated are cats and dogs.  Recently, agents in upper Bucks County raided a farm in Pipersville Pa. it was there agents found 52 goats, 80 chickens as wells as five turkeys standing in large piles of manure. There was no room for them to roam or to graze. Temperatures were searing and these was very little ventilation.

According to the Bucks County Herald the raid took place on July 18.  The animals were relocated to the Upper Bucks SPCA Facility , which can accommodate farm animals.  While no charges have been filed as of this date, SPCA officials said that they are coming.  In the meantime, it cost money to house and care for these animals. If you would like to make a donation to off set the cost, you can go here.

The rescued animals are doing much better. The SPCA is looking to free up space and would love for you to adopt an animal to make room in their shelters. Cats 6 months and older are available for a donation of choice.  This applies to the Lahaska and Upper Bucks locations only, through August 31.
