The following is s press release provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
Westbound Interstate 295 and southbound Interstate 95 motorists in Bucks County will encounter nighttime double lane closures and daytime single lane closures between the Route 413 (Bristol) and Academy Road interchanges on Monday, August 12, through Sunday, August 18, for concrete patching operations under a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of the interstates in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced last week.
The double lane closures will be in place on westbound I-295 and southbound I-95 from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, while single lane closures will occur from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-295 and I-95 in the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new guide rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95 and I-295 corridor in Bucks County.
